Privacy Policy

Privacy policy texts are usually long, filled with complex terms and definitions, making them hard to understand by most people and may hide dubious clauses.
This is a simple and clear privacy policy with the aim to be straightforward and easy to read and understand.

I. Websites

This policy is effective on the cloudfieds.net website and all its subdomains as well as its technical sidekick clfd.eu domain and subdomains.

II. Cookie and other data

You won’t be required to register or create an account in any Cloudfields domain unless you’re a member of the team managing these websites. This ensures that no personal data is stored about the general public.

Some cookies may be stored on your computer to help the website function. These cookies and their data don’t collect anything else except the standard information your browser provides (see below).

In the future, if any service is offered under the Cloudfields domains or its associated services that require registration and the collection of personal information, a separate privacy policy for that specific service will be clearly stated and visible during registration.

III. Tracking and logging data

Web servers log the time you visited a website, your IP address, and your user-agent, which contains information about your browser and version, your operating system and version, and your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.). These data are used for security and error-solving purposes and are retained for approximately a month before being permanently deleted.

IV. Embedded Content

Some of the content, particularly blog articles, may embed content like videos and images from other websites, such as YouTube. These external websites may collect data about you, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with their content.

Embedded content tracking and data are not managed, stored, or used by the cloudfields sites, and I have no control over them. My standard policy is to host all website resources within the cloudfields domains. I will only include external content if and where it is necessary or unavoidable.

V. Sharing/selling data

I don’t share or sell data to anyone. However, some data may inadvertently leak out due to the use of certain plugins.

For instance, the CAPTCHA used in the contact form to verify your humanity sends some data and personal information to Google. I may change this in the future when I find a more effective way to combat spam, ideally without collecting any data or information.

This website, along with its sidekicks and all subdomains, doesn’t use any external, third-party analytics.

VI. How long data are retained

Cookies and website data stored on your computer persist until you clear your browser’s history. On the other hand, the majority of data stored on my servers is typically deleted within a month of your visit.

All information acquired is always confidential, anonymous and private.
